Kenny graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Kansas. An avid Jayhawk fan, Kenny showed his design talents early by winning an ACSA/AISC student design competition with two other classmates as a senior in college for a Music Hall in Chattanooga, Tenn. At Perspective Architecture + Design, he has taken an active role in helping determine the software and hardware that the firm uses to bring client expectations to design reality.
Outside the office, Kenny is involved in several community organizations. He regularly volunteers at the local Ronald McDonald house, making evening meals for the families with children staying at local hospitals. He also serves on the Family Staff Advisory Council at Children’s Mercy Hospital, working with hospital staff on ways to improve the experience of parents with a child in the intensive care nursery. Kenny also is a member of the AIA Education Outreach Committee, whose goal it is to look for ways to incorporate architecture and design into school curriculum.
